Martin Herbert

Martin has over 25 years commercial property experience and has specialised in retail and leisure property for the last 20 years.  Martin has given extensive advice to Landlords on a range of high street and shopping centre instructions, particularly in the Midlands and with clients including Henderson UK Property Fund and LIM as well as numerous private pension funds and family trusts.  Martin has advised retailers and leisure occupiers on all aspects of acquisition, disposal and lease advisory matters throughout the UK with clients including TUI, M&B and Carphone Warehouse.  Martin is currently advising a divers rage of occupiers including Bistrot Pierre, Pasta Remoli, Loungers /Cosy Club, Dum Dum Donutterie and Trespass to name a few, in addition to landlord schemes at St Martin’s Shopping Centre, Leicester, The Marlowes Hemel Hempstead, Lower Precinct Coventry and Carillon Court Loughborough.  Martin lives with his partner of 20 years.

Interests:

Sport – any sport ! and cooking, travelling, theatre etc. I quite like socialising as well …

Rugby, the only true team sport

Leicester Tigers of course. For some bizarre reason I keep a sneaky eye on how Dumbarton FC do at weekends

Anything by the God that is Robert Ludlum. However for a good cry then it has to be Warhorse by Michael Morpurgo

Favourite Places:

Salcombe for many, many reasons and Kalkan in Turkey for peace, tranquillity, beautiful views and many happy memories

Music:

Anything between Division Bell by Pink Floyd to The Pearl Fishers by Bizet. Oh, and everyone secretly likes a bit of Gaga!

A couple of visits a year to a Michelin Restaurant with my partner is a great tonic
